Layup Highlights T-Shirt Pablo Allison - Peace - black

British-Mexican artist Pablo Allison has been documenting migration in Mexico and its consequences for years. Most recently, he published the great book 'The Light of the Beast', in which he documents the migrants on their journey on freight trains from Central America through Mexico and into the United States.

In addition to documentary photos, he also uses other forms of representation such as drawings and spray-painted words. For our collabo T-shirt, he chose the word 'Peace'. He comments:

"I believe that the word 'Peace' makes for a very powerful message of a desired world, a world with balance and non conflict. Peace is what we need to balance the world and for prosperity to prevail. The desire for peace might come across as utopian but we need to dream of a better world to make it happen."

Part of the proceeds from the sale of this T-shirt will be donated to the migrant shelter Estancia del Migrante González y Martínez, in the city of Tequisquiapan in the state of Queretaro in Mexico. It helps migrants by offering them accommodation for a few days on their way to the USA and providing them with food, clothing, first aid and other essentials.
